Yeah, great job! You certainly got a lot right that I wouldn’t have. What did you do to prepare?
Obviously I read the Mapp and Lucia books a few times and refreshed my memory. I got into the habit of consulting Wikipedia whenever I didn’t know the answer to anything that came up in conversation, and I got through several quiz books with Yoshiko and a friend – the Mastermind quiz book, and also the Brain of Britain were the most useful.
I have a big gap in my pop culture knowledge from 1988 to 2016 – nothing at all about UK TV, very little about sports, especially UK sports, films, pop music, etc. Had to make up with history, geography, popular science, etc.
